Kinsale Yacht Club

Kinsale Yacht Club is actively recruiting new members. There are several membership categories and their details are listed here:

2013 MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND FEES 

Family Membership: €765.00

Ordinary Membership: €548.00

Cadet Membership: €56.00 (Under 19 on 1st January)  - If Parents are Family Members, no Fee will apply

Senior Membership: €431.00 (65 years or over on the 1st January and at least five years Ordinary Member of KYC) - Proof of Age required.

Senior Family Membership: €550.00 (65 years or over on the 1st January and at least five years Family Members of KYC) - Proof of Age required

Senior Membership: If you are over 75 years of age and have been ordinary or family member for a minimum of 15 years, you have the option in a current year of renewing your membership free of charge.

Crew Associate: €235.00 (Only available for 1st two years of Membership)

Country Associate: €142.00 (Living over 50 miles from the Club)

Overseas Associate: €142.00

Junior Associate: €142.00 (19 to 25 years incl. on 1st January) - Proof of Student Status is compulsory but on production of a valid Student Card the fee of €56.00 will apply. 

HOW TO JOIN 

Individuals or families wishing to join the membership fo Kinsale Yacht Club should follow these steps:

1. Find a proposer and a seconder amongst the current membership prepared to support your application for membership, this can be from the skipper or crew of a boat that you have sailed on regularly, or friends or family that are already members

2. Download the application form by clicking on this LINK

3. Read and agree to the club’s constitution

4. Fill-in the application form and submit it to the club with full payment for the category of membership being applied for

The application will then be posted on the club’s Membership Application Notice Board for a minimum of one week. Following this the application goes to the club Committee for consideration - the Committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month. You will be informed in writing of the progress of your application and should it be successful you will receive a club membership card/smartcard which will allow you to buy drinks at the bar at a discounted rate.

During the application process potential members may use the club as long as they are signed in by another member.
 

CHANGING MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY

Current members who wish to change their membership category (e.g. changing from Ordinary member to Family member) should download the form by clicking on this LINK and submit it to the club's Committee.
