SCORA Prizegiving Date Change!

Due to the Munster v Perpignan match at Thomond Park on Friday, December 11th, the Scora prizegiving will now take place at Royal Cork Yacht Club on Wednesday, December 9th at 8 pm.

The Irish entry in the Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race has set sail from Cape Town following the start day crash that forced her to return to port for repairs. Cork has been back in port since Sunday afternoon but has now resumed the race to Geraldton, Western Australia.

A dramatic start to Race 4 of Clipper 09-10 in Cape Town saw eight of the boats cross the start line for the 4,700-mile race to Geraldton, Western Australia, while a collision between Hull & Humber and Cork resulted in the two teams returning to harbour.

Cork Takes Line Honours!

At 14.38 hours GMT Thursday Cork crossed the finish line in Table Bay and won the 4,300 mile Race 3 from Rio de Janeiro to Cape Town in the Clipper Round the World Race.

Only 1491 nautical miles from Cape Town, Cork, Ireland have taken the outright lead over the fleet in Leg 3 today 6th November. They earlier in the week scored one gate point, but have been deducted one penalty point from their overall score.
