Simon Brien with Kin IRL 202 and crew David Gomes and Stephen Milne took two bullets on the second day of racing at the Dragon National Championship. However, defending champion Martin Byrne and past winner Neil Hegarty have their eyes firmly fixed on the prize!

IRL 198 Dublin Bay helmed by Garry Treacy proved the most consistent in the opening two races of the Dragon National Championship with defending champion Martin Byrne and a host of previous holders in pursuit.

On Saturday last, 2nd May 2009, on the first anniversary of Adam Glendinning's death his 3 year old son, Benjamin presented a cheque for 1,000 to Helmsman & Friend, Alan Bateman in aid of the RNLI Kinsale Boathouse Appeal.
