Conditions for the final day of the ASM-Marine Frostbite League at Kinsale Yacht Club could not have been more generous to the forty plus sailors competing.

The Kinsale Yacht Club March Cruiser League got under way on Sunday, kindly sponsored by Frank Godsell. A fleet of 13 boats braved the brisk south easterly wind. Tom O Sullivan as OOD set a short crisp course that blew away the winter cobwebs and despite the breezy conditions no damage was reported.

New Cork Skipper Revealed!

Hannah Jenner has been announced as the new skipper of Cork and will race the Challenge 67 into Kinsale in the Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race. A graduate of the Hamble School of Yachting she has racked up more than 130,000 miles and the stage from Cape Breton Island to Kinsale will be her tenth transatlantic crossing.

Sunday last the Kinsale Yacht Club March League sponsored by Frank Godsell entered its second week and saw an even larger fleet of 16 boats. Conditions were light and the NE wind was shifting thus creating a lot of opportunities to get it right or wrong!

The Clipper 09-10 fleet has turned 40 shades of green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day as the yachts race across the Pacific Ocean towards San Francisco.

O’Regan/Flanigan achieve target at 420 UK Winter Championship

Cian O’Regan with Howth’s Scott Flanigan, along with 6 other Irish 420 teams, competed in the GBR Winter Championships 2010 at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy using the event as part of their selection process for the ISAF Youth worlds to be held in Haifa, Turkey.

The Frank Godsell March League continued last Sunday in what can only be described as summer conditions. With a 16 knot South Westerly wind and under the guidance of Tom O Sullivan as OOD a challenging course was set for the thirteen boats that came to the start line.
