The ninth annual Kinsale At Home, sponsored by Michel Jewellers, continues in it's extended two day format.
The Kinsale at Home has become one of the most popular events in the sailing programme and provides a fitting finale to the Kinsale Yacht Club summer season.
All boats must register in the Race Office between 1200 hours and 1300 hours on Saturday. A copy of these instructions shall be available to each boat.
A list / number of crew must be given to assist in catering the BBQ.
There is NO registration or entry charge. Tickets for the BBQ on Sunday will be given to each skipper (for their crew) at registration.
The start for ALL classes will be at the Charles Fort Line.
The Charles Fort Line shall be between a red and white pole or mast of the Committee Boat and the lighthouse on Charles Fort. An inner distance mark, known as Charles Fort Mark, may be laid and boats must pass between this mark and the lighthouse to start.
First Gun shall sound at 1355hrs. on Saturday and 1225hrs. on Sunday and starts shall be on a rolling 5 minute sequence in the following order:

The start gun for the preceding fleet shall be the 5 minute warning signal for the next fleet.
Competitors are requested to keep clear of the Start Line until your class is starting.
Courses for all classes shall be displayed on a blackboard on the Committee Boat
4. FINISHING LINES
The finishing line for ALL classes shall be the Marina Line. The Marina line shall be between a red and white pole on the Committee Boat at the Pier end of the Marina and an orange dhan buoy. The Race Committee may shorten the course by finishing the Race at any Rounding Mark.
Prizes shall be awarded for positions 1 and 2 in each fleet.
Cruisers shall race under ECHO and IRC handicaps.
The Michel Jewellers Perpetual Trophy will be presented to ‘Sailor of the Event’ who will be selected from amongst the class winners by the event committee.
