REAR COMMODORE HOUSE UPDATE JUNE 2015

Hi All,

Firstly I would like to welcome our new club chef Mick Glynn. Mick started in KYC last week with our sailing suppers, all reports have been very positive from our members, we wish Mick well and encourage you all to support Mick and club dining going forward.

I would like to remind you all that THE BUBBLY RACE  is on this Saturday 20th June, FG 13.55 This is one not to be missed.

The Bertoletti Trophy will be rescheduled for another night in July.

There will be no club racing during Sovereign’s Cup.

With just over a week to go to Sovereign’s Cup, it’s probably time to remind you all that we have a fantastic social line-up this year in the marquee.
King K will be playing, we also have the SG’s and the Magnetics, these are all really great bands and of course we have our resident DJ Mark Wilson (the king of cool!!)
Valerie Stallard and her team are also hosting the Sovereign’s Cup Ladies Lunch on the Friday, tickets are selling fast for this event and are available to purchase on the Sovereign’s Cup Website. This event is a first for Sovereigns and should be a really great afternoon out. Ticket numbers are limited so don’t be disappointed!
Even if you are not sailing during the Sovereign’s Cup there is something for everyone, there will be sailing suppers in the club apart from Saturday night when we will have a Barracuda BBQ to facilitate the Sovereign’s Cup prizegiving. There will also be food stands in the dingy park during the event, so come down and support this very important event for our club!
Our club staff are flat out getting the clubhouse ready for Sov’s and on this note I would again like to remind you that the dingy park needs to be cleared asap for the marquee which is arriving this weekend.
All that’s left for me to say is get out there and enjoy yourselves!!

As always, if you would like to organise a private event in KYC, please contact any of our Social Committee members who are only too willing to help in any way.

Happy Sailing!
Dave Ross
