Our Chef , Mick Glynn, who has many years’ experience in the restaurant business, produces attractive and tempting meals from regularly changing menus. Sailing Suppers are served on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings during the sailing season. Club dining on these evenings attracts many of our members (whether sailing or not), is great value for money and truly sociable.
Saturday evening dining is available from May to September. Contact the club on 021 4773433 for reservations.
The Club location is one of the best in Kinsale and we cater to many private parties, weddings, BBQ,s, christenings etc. Chef Mick will come up with a special menu to cater for your needs and budget.
Should you wish to book the club for your special occasion, please contact our Rear Commodore House on 021 477 3433 to make a reservation. We look forward to making your special occasion even more special!
Welcome to Kinsale Yacht Club’s Bar
As a club, KYC prides itself on the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The large sun terrace is an all day magnet for members and visitors alike, morning coffee to sundowners, watching local fishermen unloading the catch of the day and the local seals waiting for any scraps to be had! This is a hugely popular area with our members and a great spot for after racing discourse. The terrace is perfect for sunny summer BBQ’s too.
The Club is a popular venue for fundraising evenings, including our annual Spalpeen Trophy Race, a major contributor to our near neighbours, the local RNLI.
As an exciting finish to the year for younger members, we hold our annual Xmas party which sees Santa arriving by boat with gifts for the little ones. Adults get to let their hair down when we host the annual Dodgy Christmas Jumper Night! These are enjoyable events for all age groups.
We have a highly competitive and growing Sailability Class at KYC so the bar area and terrace are easily accessible by lift and ramps.
There is a weekly Tuesday Coffee Morning, year-round, much appreciated by members and a great way for people to catch up.
At the rear of the Club bar is an area known as The Old Dining Room. This room can be partitioned from the main bar area by glass doors and is a perfect spot for meetings and private dinner functions.
