Based on statutory changes and our aspiration to improve the standard of the sailing course delivery we will not employ helpers this year. We will instead train those who wish to work as helpers to the role of assistant instructor. To qualify to participate on this course you must be 16 years old on 1st July 2018 and have a good standard of sailing.

The sailing course will run from 2nd July for six weeks in the same format as the past two years. Full details of the course will be post on the KYC website next week.

We plan to pilot an adventure module for older more experienced junior sailors this summer. Numbers on this module will be strictly limited. If the module is oversubscribed, we prioritise places based on age and sailing experience. Kirsti O’Flynn will lead the Sailing course this year and will be supported by Scott O’Sullivan as SI.
