Rear Commodore House Update Sept. 2018

11 September, 2018

Hi all,
This update is coming to you later than usual because I was away enjoying sailing the Southern Ionian in Greece and I would highly recommend it to you all. Great food, great people and fantastic scenery! Anyway, back to the land of the living!

The new carpet is being installed next week and this should give a new lease of life to the clubhouse. As per suggestions from members regarding the timber floor around the bar area, Brian has extended the timber floor so bar stools should not be moving out onto the carpet as they have been. We had the timber in stock in the attic so it’s the same as what is already there and Brian did a fantastic job on it!

Cruiser, Dragon and Squib midweek series continue FG 18.25

Please register in the club before racing and give an indication of crew members for the bbq afterwards. The bbq will be at 4pm and will be on a first come basis and free of charge to club members. We will also have a “HAPPY HOUR” from 4 to 5pm. We would encourage our club helpers who have helped out during the year to attend this gathering as a thank you from the members for the hard work they have done to facilitate the various classes during the sailing season.

Finally, we have four signed copies of Ron Holland’s book available for sale in the bar @ €40 each, a great gift idea for anyone interested in sailing!
Looking forward to seeing you in the club!
