Rear Commodore House Update Oct. 2018

07 October, 2018

Hi All,

Autumn is well and truly upon us now, dark mornings and nights, cosy fires and Rugby Season too! We will be showing the rugby as usual in the club, we have Sky, BT, Eir Sports and whatever your having yourself! So no need to worry about missing the action over the coming months, Munster are taking on Leinster tomorrow at 6pm, Sexton is being rested and Joey Carbery, playing for Munster
will face his old team, should be a cracker!!

Sailing Stuff:
This Sunday 7th October White Sail for the Dick Hegarty Trophy FG @ 12.55
White Sail continues for the month at the same time.

Tickets for the Laying Up Supper are now on order and should be available for sale probably from midweek on. Entertainment this year will be KING K FEATURING SHARON CROSBIE. Tickets are the same price as the previous few years €45 and are, as usual on a first come basis by payment at the
bar.

The KYC Kids Xmas Party will be on Sunday 9th Dec, I will update further on that in my next issue!
The Tuesday Morning Coffee Group are again having a Christmas Lunch in the club on Tuesday 18th Dec, more details to follow next month. This was a great success last year and I’m sure it will be bigger and better this year!

Our chef Rob Kenny has asked me to let you all know that he will be back in action in the club at the end of next week Saturday 13th, he will serve food on Saturdays from noon and Sunday Brunch from 11.30am until it goes quiet. I encourage you all to support him, bring along family and friends.

Don’t forget the Christmas Party Season is now just weeks away, if you would like to book a function for work or family/friends, please get in touch, these functions keep the clubhouse open as bar takings decrease on a monthly/yearly basis!

The clubhouse is looking great with the new carpet down and this work should be completed shortly. As members we should appreciate what a fantastic facility we have and in the best location in Kinsale to boot. So if you are thinking of having a night out on the town (or in the club) please feel free to bring in your friends for a drink or two! Any large groups can be accommodated under the
“Private Function” umbrella and we welcome such business!

Well, that’s it for this month! Looking forward to seeing you all in KYC

Sue Horgan
