Rear Commodore House Update Jan. 2019

05 January, 2019

Happy New Year to you all!

Please bear in mind that this is my first attempt at producing a House Update and traditionally January does not feature a lot of news, or for that matter, sailing stuff.

Let me begin by thanking Sue Horgan who held this position before me for all the great work that she has done over the years. I promise to try and maintain the same high standard.

Club News
We have a number of new faces on the management committee. Please welcome Siobhan Keane Hopcraft to the position of hon secretary and new members Judith Macklin and Ian Travers. Maeve Cotter and I have taken up the Rear Commodore positions of Membership and House.

Talk by Tom Dolan and Mark Mansfield
On Thursday January 17th we have a talk presented by Tom Dolan detailing his experience in the 2018 Figaro Season. Tom will also give us an insight into his plans for 2019 with the Foiling New Figaro 3. This will be followed by a talk from  Mark Mansfield of UK Sailmakers Ireland covering helming and sail trim tips. We will start at 20.00 and members and guests are welcome.

                                          House Stuff
