Sovereign’s Cup Kinsale Yacht Club Information

Kinsale Yacht Club (KYC) was established in 1953.

The Club and its members funded and built the first marina in 1978.

The Marina was extended in 2003 to its current layout.

Throughout the decades, the Club has consistently grown and evolved, with the most recent refurbishment in 2013 marking another milestone in our journey of progress and improvement.

The club, with the unwavering support of its volunteer members, has had the honour of hosting numerous prestigious events over the years: World and European Championships, two previous Dragon Gold Cups, Dragon Europeans, and countless other championships from Optimists to Cruisers.

At the Kinsale website, you’ll find a range of additional accommodation options: https://www.kinsale.ie/stay/
