Kinsale Yacht Club will welcome author and adventurer Katie Carr next Monday June 22nd for an evening exploring her remarkable journey through the Shipping Forecast areas of the British and Irish coastline (as seen on the BBC Travel Show)

Katie is the author of Thundery at Times, a sea-kayaking memoir that traces her voyage to complete a challenge her late brother, Toby, never got to finish.

A leadership lecturer and coach now based in Barcelona, Katie combines a love of art, nature and challenge with a rare gift for storytelling.

Her talk promises an intimate and inspiring account of adventure on the water, the bonds between siblings and the resilience it takes to keep paddling forwards through life’s storms.

The event takes place at Kinsale Yacht Club on Monday June 22nd, starting at 19:30.
